Each week get to know a Ceramic Artist and make work based off their style.  We will focus on form of pot, surface decoration and glazing.   Materials are included in the tuition.  

NOTE: Ceramics classes are process-based.  This means that sometimes clay pieces are damaged as they are being completed.  If that does happen, refunds are not given, however a $10 credit can be applied towards a future ceramics class.

Come and each make a fun project in this one night workshop.  Work with your hands and get creative.  The instructor will lead the group in a project, but it's up to you to make it your own!  We love individual expression, no two projects will look the same in this fun family bonding workshop.  Different projects are offered each month, if you'd like to sign up for more than one workshop. Materials are included in the tuition.  

Tuition listed is for one person, both, child & adult need to register for class.  It's not limited to pairs or just parents.   One adult can sign up with more than one kid.  The adult can be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, even a big sis/bro.  It's all about being creative together.

Participants will learn about each stage of comics creation – from scripting a story to visual narration to lettering a finished page. All the comics made during the course will be collected into CCAA's first ever comics anthology!

Traditional media – pencil, Pink Pearl eraser, Pentel brush pen with spare ink cartridges, fine tip pens (0.1, 0.3, 0.5 size), sketchbook or scratch paper, Bristol board, ruler

Digital media – tablet with drawing stylus or laptop with graphics tablet and stylus, Manga Studio or Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Grab your pencils and join us for a look into the art of transportation, mechanics, systems thinking, and art of vehicles from Davinci's helicopter, to classics, to Tesla’s model X. This STEAM course will balance the technology and artistic factors of vehicles throughout the years.

Learn how to create evocative illustrations of your favorite fairy tales and myths with graphic novelist Kathryn Briggs.  This class will focus on single image illustrations that really tell a story.  We will work on illustrating fairy tales and Greek or Norse myths, working towards putting together a collection of the illustrations created in class, releasing a book of fairy tales or myths.

Materials:
Student can choose to work with traditional or digital media

Traditional media -  pencil, Pink Pearl eraser, Pentel brush pen with spare ink cartridges, fine tip pens (0.1, 0.3, 0.5 size), sketchbook or scratch paper, Bristol board, ruler.  Student may choose to work with colored pencil, watercolor, or copic marker

This class is designed for teens to push their drawing abilities to the next level.  Designed to break down the process of portrait drawing, teens will be working from photographs brought from home or provided by instructor.  Designed with the homeschool families in mind, the class is available for 4 weeks, or sign up for 2 sessions to get an immersive 8 week drawing session.
