Course Description... Drawing is the most essential skill for communicating ideas visually. A good drawing maps out the blueprints of any project, creating a strong foundation to work from, and conveying the artist’s thoughts without any confusion. In any field of art, and in any pursuit in life, the ability to process visual information, conceptualize an idea in your mind, and form it into something tangible is very useful. This class will cover the fundamental skills of drawing, such as perspective, composition, light and shadow, and proportions, through formal art techniques. To do this, we will study still-life, 3D volumes, and portraiture.
